The questioner : ... Praise is to Allah; we praise Him, seek His help, and seek His forgiveness. We seek refuge in Allah from the evil of our own souls and from the evil of our deeds. Whoever Allah guides, no one can mislead, and whoever He misleads, no one can guide. And I bear witness that there is no god but Allah alone, with no partner, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and His Messenger. As for what follows:
The owner of this call, the call itself, and all those present welcome our Shaykh, the distinguished scholar Muhammad Nasir al-Albani (may Allah preserve him), asking Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He) for guidance and correctness for us and for him in everything we say and do. We have requested that our Shaykh (may Allah have mercy on him) deliver a word to us regarding the Salafi call: its objectives, its distinguishing features, its means, and its stance toward opposing positions. Then, we turn to our distinguished Shaykh (may Allah preserve him) with thanks for what he has provided for the students of knowledge in the city of Jeddah during this blessed journey, if Allah wills, in the form of scholarly lessons, jurisprudential rulings, and da'wah guidance. We also draw our brothers' attention to the fact that all of this, praise be to Allah, has been recorded on audio tapes and is available at the Islamic Heritage Recordings. And in thanking our Shaykh, we are acting in accordance with his saying (peace and blessings be upon him):
He who does not thank the people is not thankful to Allah. لا يشكر الله من لا يشكر الناس
Sunan Abi Dawud 4811Sahih (Al-Albani)
We ask Allah the Great, Lord of the Mighty Throne, to make our Shaykh and his scholarly works beneficial, and to cause truth to flow from his tongue in everything he says and from his pen in everything he writes. Indeed, He is the All-Hearing, the Responsive. Now, we proceed to the word of our Shaykh (may Allah preserve him), and we bless his life and his time, with a note to our brothers present not to ask oral questions, so that the benefit may be widespread. And may Allah send prayers and abundant peace upon Muhammad, his family, and his companions.
