The student: In the name of Allah, all praise is for Allah, and may blessings and peace be upon the Messenger of Allah. As for what follows, this lesson is from the Noble Prophet’s Mosque, delivered by His Eminence Shaykh Muhammad ibn Salih al-Uthaymeen, on the day of Sunday, corresponding to the twentieth of the month of Dhul-Hijjah, 1417 AH, after the Maghrib prayer.
The Shaykh : All praise is for Allah; we praise Him, seek His help, and seek His forgiveness. We seek refuge in Allah from the evil of our own souls and from the badness of our deeds. Whomsoever Allah guides, none can misguide, and whomsoever He leaves to misguide, none can guide. I bear witness that there is no god but Allah alone, with no partner, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and His Messenger, His trusted one, His intimate friend, and His choice from among His creation. Allah the Exalted sent him before the Hour as a bringer of good news and a warner. He conveyed the message, fulfilled the trust, advised the Ummah, and struggled in the cause of Allah with true struggle. He left his Ummah upon a clear, pure path, from which none deviates except one who is destroyed. He left behind him in his Ummah his righteous successors: Abu Bakr, then 'Umar, then 'Uthman, then 'Ali (may Allah be pleased with them all). The Sunnah of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) was transmitted to this Ummah with reliable transmission, and in some of it, with certainty, for this is part of Allah’s (Blessed and Exalted is He) preservation of His religion. And He the Glorious and Exalted said:[Al-Hijr 15:9] May the blessings and peace of Allah be upon his Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family and his Companions, and upon those who follow them with excellence until the Day of Judgment.
As for what follows, it is a pleasure for me, O brothers, to meet you this evening in the Prophet’s Mosque (peace and blessings be upon him and his family), which is the best of mosques after the Sacred House of Allah. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said regarding it:Sunan an-Nasa'i 2899Sahih (Darussalam) We are meeting with you this evening, the twenty-first night of the month of Dhul-Hijjah, in the year 1417, to remind ourselves and you of what Allah has bestowed upon His servants in the form of performing the rites of pilgrimage in safety and tranquility, and praise be to Allah. The weather is moderate, neither hot nor cold. There is no doubt that this is a blessing from Allah. We thank Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He) for having prepared for us this year this suitable weather and this calm, complete performance, and praise be to Allah. So we thank Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He) for His blessings and ask Him for more of His grace and mercy.
O visitors, O pilgrims, the blessing of Allah the Exalted and Majestic upon His servants increases if the servant is grateful for it, as Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He) said:[Ibrahim 14:7]

One prayer in this Masjid of mine is better than a thousand prayers in any other Masjid except Al-Masjid Al-Kabah.
