The questioner: Likewise, the narration of Ibn al-Sunni along with al-Bayhaqi from al-Hasan ibn 'Ali from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), who said:
Whoever is born a child, let him call the adhan in his right ear and the iqamah in his left ear من وُلِدَ له مولود فأذَّن في أذنه اليمنى ، وأقام في أذنه اليسرى
.

The Shaykh: It is fabricated. This follows the hadith of Umm al-Sabiyyin.

The questioner: Yes.

The Shaykh: This is fabricated. This has been known to be fabricated by us for a long time. But I am speaking about the corroborating narration that Ibn al-Qayyim mentioned and attributed to al-Bayhaqi in "al-Shu'ab." We did not know its chain of narration until recently, a few years ago. As for that hadith of Umm al-Sabiyyin, it is known to be fabricated because Ibn al-Sunni was printed in India, and I have possessed it for about thirty or forty years!
