The Shaykh (may Allah have mercy on him) continues his admonition regarding image-making and the effects of images.

The Shaykh : Regarding the previous hadith, namely his saying (peace and blessings be upon him):
Angels do not enter a house in which there is a picture
Sahih Muslim 2106e
, the context of this hadith is: that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was seen one day in his house, agitated and distressed. Some of his family asked him about the cause of this agitation. He said (peace and blessings be upon him): "I have an appointment with Jibril, and he has not come to me." He had not finished speaking when he saw Jibril (peace be upon him) appear outside the house. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) hastened to Jibril, and Jibril (peace be upon him) preempted him by saying: إنَّا - معشر الملائكة - لا ندخل بيتًا فيه صورة أو كلب ؛ فانظر فإنَّ في البيت جرو كلب ، فَمُرْ فليخرج ، ثم ليُنضَحْ مكانه بالماء ، وانظر ؛ فإن في البيت قرامًا فيه صور رجال ؛ فَمُرْ بالصورة فلتُغيَّرْ حتى تصيرَ كهيئة الشجر . فدخل - عليه السلام - فرأى جرو كلب تحت السرير كان الحسن أو الحسين جاء به إلى البيت ، فكان تحت السرير ، فأمر - عليه السلام - بإخراجه ، ونضح مكانه بالماء ، ثم نظر فإذا هناك قرام - أي : ستارة فيها صور رجال - فغُيِّرَتِ الصور حتى صارت كهيئة الشجرة ، فدخل جبريل - عليه السلام - We, the angels, do not enter a house in which there is an image or a dog. So look, and if there is a puppy in the house, order it to be taken out, and then let its place be sprinkled with water. And look, and if there is a curtain in the house with images of men, order the image to be changed until it becomes like a tree. He (peace be upon him) entered and saw a puppy under the bed. Al-Hasan or al-Husayn had brought it to the house, and it was under the bed. He (peace be upon him) ordered it to be taken out, and its place was sprinkled with water. Then he looked, and there was a curtain—that is, a curtain with images of men—so the images were changed until they became like a tree. Then Jibril (peace be upon him) entered., after the image had been changed to a permissible form, which is a tree, and after the puppy had been taken out.
The point of this hadith is that the house of Prophethood and Messengership, from which he (peace and blessings be upon him) constantly received revelation from Jibril, Jibril refused to enter the Messenger’s (peace be upon him) house, which is undoubtedly the master of houses. What about us today, in our houses, where we adorn their walls with images of various kinds? It is not permissible to possess images, whatever their nature, or to hang them on walls, whether they are hand-drawn or photographic. There is no difference between all these images; they fall under the generality of the hadiths I mentioned earlier, which were mass-transmitted from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). Among them is his saying (peace and blessings be upon him): مَن صوَّرَ صورةً كُلِّفَ أن ينفخ فيها الروح يوم القيامة وليس بنافخ He who painted pictures in the world would be compelled to breathe soul in them on the Day of Resurrection, but he would not be able to breathe soul (in them).Sahih Muslim 2110b. Whoever draws an image, there is no difference whether this image is made with a pencil, a lead pencil, ink, paint, a paintbrush, the camera they call it today, or video. All these tools achieve one goal, which is a goal prohibited by the Shari'ah. He who painted pictures in the world would be compelled to breathe soul in them on the Day of Resurrection, but he would not be able to breathe soul (in them).Sahih Muslim 2110b. "Whoever" in the Arabic language you speak, much of which you have forgotten, is one of the words of comprehensiveness. "Whoever" means "everyone." Whoever draws an image كُلِّفَ أن ينفخ فيها الروح يوم القيامة وليس بنافخ would be compelled to breathe soul in them on the Day of Resurrection, but he would not be able to breathe soul (in them).Sahih Muslim 2110b. Likewise, he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: كلُّ مصوِّرٍ في النار Everyone who makes representations of things will go to hellMishkat al-Masabih 4498. Every generalization is explicit. Every image-maker is in the Fire. Do you not see that the one who draws with his pen is called an image-maker? Is not the one who says "I drew with my brush" called an image-maker? Is not the one who draws with the so-called camera called an image-maker? Is not the one who draws with video called an image-maker? All of these fall under the warning of these hadiths. Then their effects, meaning their images, are covered by many hadiths, among them: لا تدخل الملائكة بيتًا فيه صورة أو كلب Angels do not enter a house in which there is a pictureSahih Muslim 2106e. So beware of being deceived by some statements made by some who claim to be among the callers to Allah, who distinguish between the photographic image and the hand-drawn image.
