The questioner : All right, my brother; a second question: A person entered the mosque for the Friday prayer, expecting that the imam who would deliver the sermon in this mosque would be there. A group entered the mosque knowing that a specific imam was going to deliver the sermon in this mosque. When they found that the imam who was supposed to deliver the sermon was not in this mosque, and that a different imam was there, and this imam is known for not applying the Sunnah, they left the mosque. What is the ruling in this matter?

The Shaykh : All right; this question is incomplete. They left the mosque, where did they go?

The questioner : Ah, of course, they joined the mosque where the imam is...

The Shaykh : All right; and surely they will catch the sermon and the prayer?

The questioner: Yes.

The Shaykh : I mean, for example, the mosque might be far away so that it is not possible to reach it. If it is close, then there is no harm in that.

The questioner : Is there no sin?

The Shaykh : There is no sin.
