The questioner : ... Therefore, he addresses people with what exists. He addresses people with what exists, as long as the foundation upon which the Islam of the existing person depends is one in which he is declared a disbeliever.

The Shaykh : ... The matter requires knowledge. It is not enough to say: People are not scholars in calling to Islam, and the call to them... a large part of it, no one can carry this out except the people of knowledge; therefore... a group of ours... in a village called al-Zubdani, they call to... here, I said to him: I felt that the one speaking to me was not knowledgeable, so I said to him: Fine, even for you to understand the meaning of the legal rulings... you need some knowledge of the Arabic language and its literature. If a matter comes to you and the issue requires knowledge of hadith, you admit that you are not a scholar of hadith; so what do you do? He said: I seek the help of someone like you, and I say that in my opinion I am not one of them; so how is it that you seek his help... perhaps if we do not say, meaning, we declare him a disbeliever, but at least you do not consider him part of your group; how do you seek his help? And perhaps he will authenticate for you what is weak so that he misleads you, for such and such... among those who call to Islam, they should be knowledgeable, not... Then, when he calls to Islam, he calls to an Islam that has not been practiced; because he is not knowledgeable about it.
And I give you... a reality; this process of verification cannot be done by scholars of tafsir and scholars of fiqh except by seeking the assistance... of hadith. This is the professor "al-Mawdudi," from among the contemporary scholars and reformers. He has a book on the constitution and Islamic law. There was a chapter in it on the rights of dhimmis (non-Muslims under Muslim protection) in Islam. He went into the chapter to state that if a Muslim kills a dhimmi, he is killed in retaliation, and if a Muslim kills a dhimmi by mistake, there is a ransom payment for this dhimmi equal to the blood money of a Muslim. This is contrary to the authentic hadith... the authentic hadith says:
The Muslim is not killed for disbeliever. لا يُقتل مسلم بكافر
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 1413Hasan (Darussalam)
, this dhimmi is a disbeliever, and the authentic hadith says:
The blood money of a dhimmi is half the blood money of a Muslim دية الذِّمِّي على النصف من دية المسلم
Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah 19:743
; so what is the matter with this noble man stating what is contrary to the authentic hadith? The answer: Because he relies in his fiqh on the Hanafi school of jurisprudence.
... the Hanafi fiqh which permitted the marriage of tahil; therefore, the Hanafi school of jurisprudence is not permissible to rely upon... .

The questioner : ... the creed - if Allah wills - is the creed of the Salaf (the earliest generations)... .

The Shaykh : ... .

The questioner: But the things... .
