A discussion on the importance of purifying the Sunnah.

The Shaykh : If that is contradicted, refuge is sought in Allah... By purifying the Sunnah, we stop at this. We only say that the foundation of all the purifications that are necessary for the Muslim community to return to its purified religion, free from all foreign elements, is the purification of the Sunnah. After this purification, or along with this purification, if possible, it is necessary to also turn to the purification of the principles of jurisprudence and the principles of hadith, to the extent that is possible, which we believe is a good thing. Thus, we call for purification in the broadest sense. But where do we begin? We begin with the purification of the second source of the Shari'ah, which is the hadith and the Sunnah. This is our answer to that question.
