Is it prescribed to pay zakat al-fitr in special cases after the festival prayer

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner :
Is it prescribed to pay zakat al-fitr in special cases after the festival prayer.

The Shaykh :
You have heard the answer stated in the hadith of Ibn 'Abbas: whoever pays it before the festival prayer, it is an accepted charity.
And whoever pays it after the festival prayer, it is a charity among charities. Here, we say now, in the face of the text,
we are subject to it. The previous philosophy, what do we say? My worship is not my worship. Here now it is cut off. Perhaps I am saying
with my mind, what is the difference between paying zakat al-fitr before the festival prayer and paying it after the festival prayer, and the distance
is what? An hour of time, two hours, in any case. The charity after the festival prayer, he believed it on the day of the festival with
that. The wise Shari'ah considered it a charity among charities. And what came in the mind? Why? Because it is an explicit text
that distinguishes: whoever pays it before the festival prayer, it is an accepted charity, meaning the obligation. And whoever pays it after the
festival prayer, it is a charity among charities. Therefore, we say, beware that anyone delays paying this charity
until after the festival prayer, so that the sin falls and this obligation is neglected upon him, and his charity, instead of being an obligation,
and its reward with Allah being multiplied many times over, becomes a reward with Allah, Allah knows best, far less than that. Therefore,
it is not permissible to pay it after the festival prayer. And one must ensure that a person does not fall into this violation, even unintentionally.
A person must be cautious, for we are often asked: is it permissible to pay zakat al-fitr from one town to another? For me,
I have a relative there, a friend, etc. We say it is permissible, because there is no evidence preventing the transfer of zakah, whether it is
the annual zakah or zakat al-fitr. And there is no evidence preventing the transfer. But regarding zakat al-fitr, as long as
it is very beloved to pay it before the festival prayer, the one who sends it outside the town must instruct
the person who is the intermediary between the one paying zakah and the poor person in his location in his town. It is obligatory upon
this payer to instruct the intermediary and hand it to him before the festival prayer, if possible, or otherwise one or two days
before the festival if he cannot do so before the festival. This caution is necessary, otherwise the payer, if he does not take caution, will not have fulfilled this
obligation. Yes.
