Is there a limit to the beard hair on the face? Because some people have very thick hair to the extent that it reaches their chest and their eyes?
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : The questioner says: Is there a limit to the beard hair on the face? Because some people have very thick hair, and their hair is connected from their chest to their neck, and even under their eye?
The Shaykh : It is not permissible for a Muslim to take from his beard except the amount that the Wise Lawgiver has allowed, and which came from the action of one of the Companions who narrated His saying (peace and blessings be upon him):As-Sunan al-Kubra lil-Nasa'i 64:6 That this Companion, who is Abdullah ibn Umar, would take what is less than a handful, what is under the handful. As for anything other than that, it is contrary to the Sunnah, whether a man’s beard pleases him or not, whether it pleases others or not. All of Allah’s creation (Mighty and Majestic) is as it came in the authentic hadith when a man was seen walking with his lower garment long, so he was ordered not to lengthen his lower garment, but to make it to the middle of the calf. He excused himself by saying that there was a bend in his calves, so he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: .
And the truth is that this hadith must be memorized well so that we can refute the doubts that multiply or whose presentation multiplies in such a matter. This person says: My wife is hairy, her hair is thick, and I am disgusted by her, and so on. If he remembers this hadith, or if he remembers His saying (Exalted is He):[Ar-Rum 30:30], and remembers with that His saying (peace be upon him): , that would be sufficient evidence that it is not permissible to change anything of Allah’s creation. How much more so when there is an explicit warning regarding the limb that has a deviation from the usual straightness among people, namely the calf? He (peace and blessings be upon him) draws the attention of that man who wants to cover the defect in his calves, if there is a defect in them. And if we say there is a defect in it, the defect would transfer to the Creator (Glorified and Exalted is He) from what the wrongdoers say in great arrogance.
For that reason, he (peace and blessings be upon him) said:Sahih Muslim 2246e; He is the One who disposes of His creation, as He said (Mighty and Majestic): [Al-Qasas 28:68]. So when He differentiated between men and women, making men have beards and women not have beards, this creation was not in vain, far be it from Him. Likewise, when He differentiated between men themselves; He made some of them have thick beards, which if distributed among many like the Chinese, would suffice them. And He made other people have light beards, and very light beards. And He made other people like the Chinese, with no beard at all, like a woman completely. Do you see of the creation of the Merciful any imbalance? Far be it from Allah. So it is obligatory to submit to the creation of Allah (Mighty and Majestic).
And I said, and I was with some of the brothers recently, and if the question is a little long, there is a lesson in it. I said: This person who sees his beard, as the questioner said, has reached his eyes, covering his eyes. What is his Islamic obligation if he stands in front of the mirror? The sincere Muslim in his faith and Islam says in this situation, when he looks at his image in the mirror: "O Allah, as You have beautified my creation, beautify my character." Does this person, who does not like his appearance, whether it is a thick beard or a coarse, soft, slightly disheveled one here and there, does he say: You did not beautify my creation? That is disbelief itself. Therefore, the believers must believe in Allah truly and sincerely, and the effect of that in their approach in their lives is that they submit to the creation of Allah completely, as they do completely in the Shari'ah of Allah. The source of the creation of Allah is the same as the source of the Shari'ah of Allah. So just as it is not permissible to contradict the Shari'ah of Allah, so it is not permissible for him to intentionally contradict the Sunnah of Allah; the Sunnah of Allah in His creation,[Al-Ahzab 33:62].
Yes.

Trim the mustache and let the beard grow.

لعن الله النَّامصات والمتنمِّصات ، والواشمات والمستوشمات ، والفالجات المغيِّرات لخلق الله للحُسْنِFor that reason, he (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Do not curse Time, for it is Allah Who is Time.
لا تسبُّوا الدهر ؛ فإن الله هو الدهرAnd your Lord creates what He wills and chooses; not for them was the choice. Exalted is Allah and high above what they associate with Him.
