Is there a limit to the beard hair on the face, because some people have very thick hair to the extent that it reaches their chest and eyes?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : The questioner asks if there is a limit to the beard hair on the face, because some people have thick hair, and their hair is connected from their chest to their neck and even under their eye?

The Shaykh : It is not permissible for a Muslim to take from his beard except the amount that the Wise Lawgiver has allowed, which came from the action of one of the Companions who narrated His saying (peace and blessings be upon him)
Trim the mustache and let the beards grow حفوا الشارب وأعفوا اللحى
As-Sunan al-Kubra lil-Nasa'i 64:6
that this Companion, who is Abdullah ibn Umar, would take what is less than a handful, what is below the handful. As for anything other than that, it is contrary to the Sunnah, whether a man’s beard pleases him or not, whether it pleases others or not. All of Allah’s (Mighty and Majestic) creation is as it is, as came in the authentic hadith when he saw a man walking with his lower garment long, he ordered him not to lengthen his lower garment and to make it to the middle of the calf, and the man excused himself by saying that there was a curvature in his calves. So he (peace and blessings be upon him) said
Every creation of Allah is beautiful كل خلق الله حسن
. And the truth is that this hadith must be memorized well so that we can refute the doubts that multiply or whose presentation multiplies in such a matter. This person says, “My two eyebrows are hairy, their hair is thick, and I am repelled by them,” and so on. If he remembers this hadith, or rather if he remembers His saying (Glorified and Exalted is He)
the fitrah of Allah upon which He has created [all] people. No change should there be in the creation of Allah فطرة الله التي فطر الناس عليها لا تبديل لخلق الله
[Ar-Rum 30:30]
and remembers with that his saying (peace and blessings be upon him)
May Allah curse the women who pluck their eyebrows, and those who have it done to them, and the women who tattoo, and those who have it done to them, and the women who file their teeth, and those who change the creation of Allah for the sake of beauty لعن الله النامصات والمتنمصات والواشمات والمستوشمات والفالجات المغيرات لخلق الله للحسن
, that would be sufficient for him as evidence that it is not permissible to change anything of Allah’s creation. How much more so when there is an explicit warning regarding the limb that has a deviation from the usual straightness among people, which is the calf? He (peace and blessings be upon him) drew attention to that man who wanted to cover the defect in his calves, if there was a defect in them. And if we said there was a defect in them, the defect would transfer to the Creator. (Glorified and Exalted is He) is far above what the wrongdoers say, greatly. For that reason, he (peace and blessings be upon him) said
Do not curse Time, for it is Allah Who is Time. لا تسبوا الدهر فإن الله هو الدهر
Sahih Muslim 2246e
. He is the One who disposes of His creation as He said (Mighty and Majestic)
And your Lord creates what He wills and chooses; not for them was the choice. Exalted is Allah and high above what they associate with Him. وربك يخلق ما يشاء ويختار ما كان لهم الخيرة سبحانه وتعالى عما يشركون
[Al-Qasas 28:68]
. So when He differentiated between men and women, making men have beards and women not have beards, this creation was not in vain, far be it from that. When He differentiated between men themselves, giving some of them thick beards, which if distributed among many like the Chinese would suffice them, and others gave them light beards, and very light, and others made them like a woman, with no beard at all. Do you see in the creation of the Merciful any imbalance? Far be it from Allah. So it is obligatory to submit to the creation of Allah (Mighty and Majestic) and say, and I said with some of the brothers recently, even if the question was a bit long, there is a lesson in it. I said, this person who sees his beard, as the questioner said, reached his eyes, covering his eyes. This person, what is his Islamic obligation? If he stands before the mirror, the Muslim who is sincere in his faith and Islam, he says in this situation, if he looks in the mirror at his person, he says “O Allah, as You have made my creation good, make my character good”. Would this person who does not like his appearance, whether it is a thick beard or rough hair, say, “Let me shave a little here and a little there”? Would this person say, “You have not made my creation good”? If so, this is disbelief itself. Therefore, the believers must believe in Allah truly and sincerely, and the effect of that in their starting point in their lives is that they submit to the creation of Allah, submission, just as they do exactly in the Shari'ah of Allah. The creation of Allah, its source is like the Shari'ah of Allah, its source is. So just as it is not permissible to contradict the Shari'ah of Allah, so it is not permissible for him to intentionally contradict the Sunnah of Allah, the Sunnah of Allah in His creation. And you will not find a change in the Sunnah of Allah.
