The Shaykh : To summarize: I said to him, the text of the Noble Qur'an has made people two categories in terms of knowledge and ignorance. It made them scholars, who are those who understand the Book and the Sunnah, and their opposite are the non-scholars, whom we call the ignorant, who do not understand the Book and the Sunnah. Two categories; so each of the two categories has its obligatory duty by the text of the Noble Qur'an. He said—(Glorified and Exalted is He):
So ask the people of the message if you do not know. فَاسْأَلُوا أَهْلَ الذِّكْرِ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ لَا تَعْلَمُونَ
[An-Nahl 16:43]
; so He is addressing the community in its entirety, in its scholars and its ignorant, in its literate and its illiterate. He says: You are two groups; scholars and non-scholars. The non-scholars must ask the scholars
So ask the people of the message if you do not know. فَاسْأَلُوا أَهْلَ الذِّكْرِ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ لَا تَعْلَمُونَ
