A Word on Beneficial Knowledge and Righteous Deeds and Their Two Conditions

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : After this, I wish to speak a word about beneficial knowledge and righteous deeds, and I take the opportunity of the presence of some of our Salafi brothers who came to this blessed town from Kuwait to say: Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He) says in His noble Book:
Say, "I am only a man like you, to whom has been revealed that your god is one God. So whoever would hope for the meeting with his Lord - let him do righteous work and not associate in the worship of his Lord anyone."
[Al-Kahf 18:110]
.
In this noble verse, our Lord (Blessed and Exalted is He) conditioned the Muslim’s meeting with Allah (Mighty and Majestic)—a meeting at which he will receive his good reward—upon two things: the first is that he does righteous deeds, and the second is that he does not associate anyone with his Lord in worship. If that is the case, then the verse contains a great warning that the rectitude of the Muslim, in his heart and his outward conduct, is not realized except by two things; if one of them is lacking, the other will not benefit him in any way.
The first is righteous deeds, and the second is sincerity to Allah (Mighty and Majestic) in these righteous deeds = -- a little noise -- = And if that is the case, then it is necessary for us to form a correct idea, each according to his scholarly capacity, either in detail for the one who is a student of knowledge, or in general for the one who is below that level; that he form an idea like this about righteous deeds: what are they? And about sincerity to Allah (Mighty and Majestic) in this deed: how is it? And what contradicts it?
