Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh :
So whoever hopes to meet his Lord... فمن كان يرجو لقاء ربه ...
In the other verse,
So whoever would hope for the meeting with his Lord - let him do righteous work and not associate in the worship of his Lord anyone." فمن كان يرجو لقاء ربه فليعمل عملا صالحا و لا يشرك بربه أحدا
[Al-Kahf 18:110]
the scholars of exegesis mentioned in their interpretation of this second verse that His saying, Blessed and Exalted is He,
let him do righteous work فليعمل عملا صالحا
[Al-Kahf 18:110]
means in accordance with the Sunnah,
So whoever would hope for the meeting with his Lord - let him do righteous work and not associate in the worship of his Lord anyone." فمن كان يرجو لقاء ربه فليعمل عملا صالحا و لا يشرك بربه أحدا
[Al-Kahf 18:110]
meaning to make this righteous work pure for the Face of Allah, Mighty and Majestic. They derived from this verse that work is not accepted by Allah, Mighty and Majestic, unless these two conditions are present: the first condition is that it be in accordance with the Sunnah, and the other condition is that its doer be sincere in it for his Lord, Blessed and Exalted is He.
