What is your opinion regarding the statement of the Shaykh, "Muhammad ibn 'Abd al-'Aziz al-Musnad," that a government employee who does not attend his workplace except

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : The Shaykh, the author of the Shaykh "Muhammad 'Abd al-'Aziz al-Musnad," has a statement about an employee who works in official departments and does not attend the workplace except one day a week or one month a year out of negligence and laziness; does he not deserve to be fired and removed from work, just as the one who prays means, does he not deserve to be fired and removed from the mercy of Allah? Is this wrong, right? Is this his statement wrong?

The Shaykh : ... But the difference between the servant and the Lord is that the Lord may forgive the sin, no matter how great it is.

The questioner : I mean, is his statement correct or not?

The Shaykh : I tell you, there is no difference; this one is negligent and this one is negligent. This one is negligent in his duty to the servant, and this one is negligent in his duty to the Lord. But the Lord is not like anything else; so as He said (Mighty and Majestic):
Indeed, Allah does not forgive association with Him, but He forgives what is less than that for whom He wills إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يَغْفِرُ أَنْ يُشْرَكَ بِهِ وَيَغْفِرُ مَا دُونَ ذَلِكَ لِمَنْ يَشَاءُ
[An-Nisa 4:48]
, so we cannot say that the one who leaves this prayer has committed disbelief, but he deserves punishment from Allah; if He wills, He will punish him, and if He wills, He will forgive him.

The questioner : May Allah reward you with good.

The Shaykh : And beware ... O our brothers.
