Clarification that affiliation with the righteous Salaf is an imperative for every Muslim.

The Shaykh : What I wish to speak about in this blessed hour, if Allah wills, is that this affiliation; affiliation with the righteous Salaf, in my opinion, is something from which no Muslim who knows the true meaning of the term "righteous Salaf" can disavow himself. No Muslim can disavow affiliation with this lineage, whatever his identity, whatever his partisanship; for the righteous Salaf, as you know, are the three generations attested to as the best by the famous, established hadiths from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), where he said: . On this occasion, I remind you, as it is said, of the narration of the hadith with the wording: which has no basis. The established wording in "al-Sahihayn" and elsewhere is: , instead of: , . These three generations to which the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) attested their excellence, the first of which was the one in which the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) and his noble Companions were; they are the best of people, and those who followed them with excellence, then the followers of those, the followers of the followers. These three generations attested to as the best are our righteous Salaf.
We should be aware of an important matter associated with this righteous Salaf, which is their infallibility from agreeing upon misguidance; for the famous hadith, which is the saying of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him): , the first thing in which this authentic hadith is established and realized is the first generation, the second generation, and the third generation. These generations are the best of people, as the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) explicitly stated.
