Explanation of the will of the Companion Hakim ibn Qays ibn 'Asim, explanation of his saying: (Fear Allah).

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : The first of this is that he said to them: "Fear Allah"; this is a comprehensive and sufficient will; because the meaning of the fear of Allah - Mighty and Majestic - is that the servant fears his Lord, so he obeys Him in everything He has commanded him, and refrains from everything He has forbidden him; this is the fear of Allah. And this is a will from the wills of the Messenger - peace be upon him - to his Companions on many occasions; among them is that he willed to Mu'adh and said to him:
Have Taqwa of Allah wherever you are اتَّق الله حيثُ ما كنتَ
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 1987Hasan (Darussalam)
, this is a famous will from the wills of the Messenger - peace and blessings be upon him and his family -; the noble Companions followed the guidance of the Messenger - peace be upon him - and his path after him, and among them was this Qays ibn 'Asim; where he willed to his sons by saying: "Fear Allah".
