Explanation of the saying: "For when a people appoint their eldest as their leader, they replace their father."

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : "And appoint your eldest as your leader." Why?
"For when a people appoint their eldest as their leader, they replace their father." If the children are trained in this etiquette and they appoint, appoint as leader, and make their eldest the head over them, they replace their father; meaning that they live as if their father were among them, because they have made their eldest the head over them. This eldest is supposed to be the greatest in knowledge, the greatest in intellect, and the greatest in experience. So he will guide his brothers in the manner of their father, through this brother who was appointed over them. That is, they will not feel the loss of their father as long as their eldest brother has taken his place after him. Therefore, it is common among people that the eldest brother is in the position of a father. There is wisdom in this, without a doubt, but it is not hidden that this is not absolute. How many are there who are old in age but small in status and in knowledge, and the opposite is the opposite. However, this etiquette should be observed, which is appointing the eldest as long as there is a way to do so, in order to maintain the order, unity, and life of the family after the death of its head, namely their father. "For when a people appoint their eldest as their leader, they replace their father."
