When Iblis refused to prostrate, Allah expelled him from Paradise and forbade it to him, while Adam remained in Paradise
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Eid Abbasi : I say: When Iblis refused to prostrate, Allah expelled him from Paradise and forbade it to him, while Adam remained in Paradise; so how was Iblis able to whisper to Adam and Eve? These texts clarify this, and may Allah reward you with good.
The Shaykh : This question, "how," is a question of the later generations (Khalaf), not of the earliest generations (Salaf); because we always tell you, forever and ever, that asking about hidden matters is not permissible. The questioner naturally feels with me that there is no verse or hadith in which the Messenger (peace be upon him) explained to us how Satan was able to whisper to Adam (peace and blessings be upon him). Therefore, we believe that Satan whispered by the text of the Qur'an, but as for how; we fear that asking about it is a religious innovation (bid'ah). Take the man out; for he is an innovator (mubtadi')!
