Is it obligatory for a person to stay away from a job that involves a high position, or should he enter it?

The questioner : Working in da'wah; I have a center in da'wah...

The Shaykh : If you are fulfilling the obligatory duties and you are a leader and not one who is led, then your case is like that of the mother of Musa (peace be upon him), who nursed her son and took her wage. Is there anything on your mind that can be looked into?

The questioner : I mean, a person might expect in... so is this... I mean, now... the director of the center might not be... and if I am... I mean, they compelled me to manage, the good brothers and... we have gatherings of the people of knowledge, so would it be more beneficial for him and for the Ummah of Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) to enter into it, or to withdraw from these matters...?
