Question: Allah the Exalted says in Surat Yasin:
And he presents for Us an example and forgets his [own] creation. He says, "Who will give life to bones while they are disintegrated?"
[Yasin: 78]. What is the meaning of this verse?

Answer: The meaning of this verse is the mention of the disbeliever’s denial of the Resurrection. And before that, Allah the Exalted said:
(77) Does man not consider that We created him from a [mere] sperm-drop - then at once he is a clear adversary? (78) And he presents for Us an example and forgets his [own] creation. He says, "Who will give life to bones while they are disintegrated?" (79) Say, "He will give them life who produced them the first time; and He is, of all creation, Knowing."
[Yasin: 77 - 79]. This disbeliever denies the Resurrection and disbelieves in it, and he considers it unlikely that Allah would restore the bones after they have crumbled, been lost in the earth, and turned to dust. He considers it unlikely that Allah has the power to restore them a second time. This is due to his ignorance. The evidence for the power of Allah the Exalted is rooted in this human being, if he reflects upon it. Indeed, the One who was able to create him the first time from a drop of sperm, which is weak water, meaning weak fluid, and who was able to create a strong human being from this weak fluid, is even more capable of restoring him. For whoever is able to begin creation is even more capable of restoring it. Thus, he denies a sign within himself and rejects the power of Allah, Glorified and Exalted is He, to restore
the bones when they are in decay and to give them life a second time. For this reason, Allah the Exalted said:
Say, "He will give them life who produced them the first timeقُلْ يُحْيِيهَا الَّذِي أَنْشَأَهَا أَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍ
[Yasin: 79]. If He brought them into existence the first time, after they did not exist, then He is even more capable of restoring them.
