Exegesis of Verse 70 of Surat Yasin

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The fourth question of Fatwa No. ( 4802 ):
Q4: Allah the Exalted said:
To warn whoever is alive and justify the word against the disbelievers.لِيُنْذِرَ مَنْ كَانَ حَيًّا وَيَحِقَّ الْقَوْلُ عَلَى الْكَافِرِينَ
[Ya-Sin 36:70]
, I hope for a clear exegesis of this verse
.

A4: Allah the Exalted said:
(69) And We did not give Prophet Muhammad, knowledge of poetry, nor is it befitting for him. It is not but a message and a clear Qur'an (70) To warn whoever is alive and justify the word against the disbelievers.
[Ya-Sin 36:69-70]

And the meaning of the two verses is: When the disbelievers accused the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) of being a poet and said that the Qur'an is poetry, Allah refuted their claim by stating that He did not teach His Prophet poetry nor reveal it to him. He (Glorified and Exalted is He) clarified that it is not befitting for him to be a poet, nor is it suitable for him; for he is the truthful, the trustworthy, and the leader of those who seek guidance. He came to his nation with the truth, guidance, and light. As for poets, they wander in every valley, and their followers are the astray, except those who believed and did righteous deeds. There is a vast difference between him and the poets in character and disposition. Then He (Glorified and Exalted is He) clarified that what He revealed to him is not poetry; rather, there is no kinship between it and poetry in its style or composition, nor in its meaning in terms of truth, guidance, admonition, and remembrance for whoever lends his ear to it and opens his heart to it. It becomes for him light and guidance, success and happiness. So He (Glorified and Exalted is He) said:
It is not but a message and a clear Qur'an (70) To warn whoever is aliveإِنْ هُوَ إِلا ذِكْرٌ وَقُرْآنٌ مُبِينٌ (69) لِيُنْذِرَ مَنْ كَانَ حَيًّا
[Ya-Sin 36:69-70]
... the verse, meaning: So that the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) may warn with the Qur'an everyone who is alive among the jinn and mankind, and warn them of the consequences of turning away from believing in it. And the word becomes true: that is, the word of punishment falls upon those who disbelieve in Allah and His Messenger and what came in the Noble Qur'an. In these two verses: there is a refutation of the disbelievers in their accusation of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) as a poet and their claim that the Qur'an is poetry. And a clarification of the high status of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and the status
of the Qur'an, and a clarification of the universality of his (peace and blessings be upon him) message to the two groups (jinn and mankind). And success is from Allah. And may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
