The ruling on a woman who performed 'Umrah with her child on behalf of her deceased father, then did not complete the 'Umrah out of fear for her child
Honorable Shaykh! A woman entered the state of ihram for 'Umrah on behalf of her deceased father, and she had her infant with her. When she reached the Haram, the air was cold, so she feared for her child and did not complete her 'Umrah. Then she returned to Jeddah and exited the state of ihram. What is obligatory for her?
Her action is forbidden, and it is not permissible for her to exit the state of ihram from her 'Umrah. It is obligatory for her now to complete her 'Umrah by performing tawaf, sa'y, and shortening her hair. As for the prohibitions of ihram that she committed, she owes nothing for them because she was ignorant. And you should advise her not to rush into any of the acts of worship without first asking the people of knowledge.
