How to make du'a for a deceased child in the funeral prayer?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : He is asking about making du'a for a deceased child during the funeral prayer.

The Shaykh : What?

The questioner : He is asking about making du'a for a deceased child during the funeral prayer.

The Shaykh : Yes, a deceased child has no sins upon him, because sins are not recorded unless a person reaches maturity with sound intellect. Therefore, a person of unsound mind has no sins upon him, even if he is an adult, and a child has no sins upon him. So, one makes du'a with what is appropriate for his parents; one makes du'a for his parents, such as:
O Allah, make him a forerunner for his parents, a treasure, and an intercessor whose intercession is accepted. O Allah, make him weigh down their scales, and make their rewards great because of him, and join him with the righteous predecessors of the believers. اللهم اجعله فرَطا لوالديه وذخراً وشفيعا مجاباً اللهم ثقل به موازينهما وأعظم به أجورهما وألحقه بصالح سلف المؤمنين
Yes.
