The questioner : Noble Shaykh, a woman entered the state of ihram for 'Umrah on behalf of her deceased father. She had her infant with her, and when she reached the Haram, the air was cold, so she feared for her child. She did not complete her 'Umrah, then returned to Jeddah and exited the state of ihram. What is obligatory for her?

The Shaykh : Her action is forbidden, and it is not permissible for her to exit the state of ihram from her 'Umrah. It is obligatory for her now to complete her 'Umrah by performing tawaf, sa'y, and shortening her hair. As for what she did from the prohibited acts of ihram, she owes nothing for it because she was ignorant. You should advise her not to rush into any act of worship without first asking the people of knowledge. Yes.
