The Ruling on Delaying the Stoning to the Last Days of Tashriq and the Ruling on Delegating It
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Your Eminence! A man has passed the day of Eid. Is it better for him to delay the stoning to the last days of Tashriq, or should he delegate it?
If a person is prevented from performing the stoning on the day of Eid by an obstacle, he should delay it until he is able to do so; because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) permitted the shepherds to perform the stoning and leave a day. Delegating the stoning is not permissible to be done carelessly; because the stoning is one of the rituals of Hajj,And Allah the Exalted said: [al-Baqarah:196] .
So it is not permissible for a person to delegate it merely because he is exhausted, or merely because of the crowd,He says: As for fatigue, if it is a permanent fatigue, such as a pregnant woman, or an old man, or an old woman, then he should delegate. But if he is afflicted with a mild illness from which he hopes to recover by the last days of Tashriq, it is not permissible for him to delegate, and he should perform all of them.
