Rulings on the Sacrifice

Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family and all his Companions.
To proceed: This is the ninety-second session of the Open Door series, which takes place on Thursday, the fourth of Dhu al-Hijjah, 1415 AH. We are now speaking about the 'Id sacrifice.
The 'Id sacrifice is prescribed by the consensus of the Muslims.Allah, Blessed and Exalted, said: [al-Kawthar:2] , [al-Hajj:34] .
And some of the scholars said: It is obligatory, and whoever is able to do so but does not offer the sacrifice is sinful.
This is the position of Abu Hanifa (may Allah have mercy on him), and it was chosen by Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah.
