Exegesis of the saying of Allah the Exalted: (And he denied the best)]
Allah the Exalted said: [Al-Layl: 9] Meaning: by the good word, which is the word of Allah and His Messenger.
[Al-Layl: 10] Meaning: He will make the difficult easy for him in all matters.
But Satan may come to a person and say: We find that the affairs of the disbelievers become easy, so it is said: Yes, their affairs may become easy, but their hearts burn with fire, narrowness, and distress,As Allah the Exalted said: [Al-An'am: 125] And what they are blessed with is only a blessing of the body, not a blessing of the soul, and it is also a calamity for them;By the saying of Allah the Exalted about them: [Al-Qalam: 44-45] ,And the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) said: (Indeed, Allah grants respite to the wrongdoer until when He seizes him, He does not let him go,And he recited the saying of Allah the Exalted: [Hud: 102] ) And these people were hastened to their good things in this worldly life, and yet this world is a paradise for them in relation to the Hereafter.
It is reported about Ibn Hajar al-Asqalani, the commentator of al-Bukhari with the commentary he named Fath al-Bari, and who was the Chief Judge in Egypt: that one day he passed by, riding in a carriage pulled by mules with people around him, a Jewish man who was a seller ofMeaning: butter and oil—and you know that the seller of butter and oil has dirty clothes and a poor state,So he stopped the carriage and said to Ibn Hajar: Your Prophet says: (The world is a prison for the believer and a paradise for the disbeliever) So how can I be in this state and you in that state?! Ibn Hajar said to him on the spur of the moment: I am in a prison in relation to what Allah the Exalted has prepared for the believers of reward and bliss, because the world in relation to the Hereafter is nothing, as the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) said: (The place of the whip of one of you in Paradise is better than the world and what is in it) , and as for you—he said to the Jew—you are in a paradise in relation to the punishment prepared for you if you die upon disbelief, so the Jew was satisfied with that and it became the cause of his Islam, and he said: I bear witness that there is no god but Allah and I bear witness that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah!!
Allah the Exalted said:
And he denied the best
وَكَذَّبَ بِالْحُسْنَىSo We will make the difficult easy for him
فَسَنُيَسِّرُهُ لِلْعُسْرَىBut Satan may come to a person and say: We find that the affairs of the disbelievers become easy, so it is said: Yes, their affairs may become easy, but their hearts burn with fire, narrowness, and distress,As Allah the Exalted said:
and whoever He wants to misguide - He makes his breast tight and constricted as though he were climbing into the sky
وَمَنْ يُرِدْ أَنْ يُضِلَّهُ يَجْعَلْ صَدْرَهُ ضَيِّقاً حَرَجاً كَأَنَّمَا يَصَّعَّدُ فِي السَّمَاءِ(44) So leave Me, [O Muhammad], with [the matter of] whoever denies the Qur'an. We will progressively lead them [to punishment] from where they do not know. (45) And I will give them time. Indeed, My plan is firm.
And thus is the seizure of your Lord when He seizes the cities while they are committing wrong. Indeed, His seizure is painful and severe.
وَكَذَلِكَ أَخْذُ رَبِّكَ إِذَا أَخَذَ الْقُرَى وَهِيَ ظَالِمَةٌ إِنَّ أَخْذَهُ أَلِيمٌ شَدِيدٌIt is reported about Ibn Hajar al-Asqalani, the commentator of al-Bukhari with the commentary he named Fath al-Bari, and who was the Chief Judge in Egypt: that one day he passed by, riding in a carriage pulled by mules with people around him, a Jewish man who was a seller ofMeaning: butter and oil—and you know that the seller of butter and oil has dirty clothes and a poor state,So he stopped the carriage and said to Ibn Hajar: Your Prophet says: (The world is a prison for the believer and a paradise for the disbeliever) So how can I be in this state and you in that state?!
