The ruling on one who catches up with the imam at the end of the second tashahhud while he is performing sujud al-sahw

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
I entered the prayer with the imam after the second tashahhud and after the prostration for forgetfulness, and I did not know whether he had forgotten, stood up, or sat down. Should I prostrate with him, or should I remain in my place? The Shaykh: Are you a masbuq (one who joins the prayer late) or are you with the imam? The questioner: I am not a masbuq.

The Shaykh: I entered with him after the second tashahhud, meaning in the third rak'ah, and the imam made a mistake.

The questioner: The imam made a mistake in the first rak'ah.

The Shaykh: Did he prostrate after the taslim or before it?The questioner: Before it.
If he prostrated before the taslim, you must prostrate with him. If the imam prostrates before the taslim, you prostrate with him in all cases. If he prostrates after the taslim, then if the mistake occurred before you joined him, you do not have to prostrate. If it occurred after you joined him, then when you complete your prayer, you prostrate for forgetfulness.
