Exegesis of the saying of Allah the Exalted: (Master of the Day of Judgment)]

Allah the Exalted said:
Sovereign of the Day of Recompense.مَالِكِ يَوْمِ الدِّينِ
[Surat al-Fatihah: 4] And in another reading: (King of the Day of Judgment) So "Malik" is an active participle, and "Malik" is a descriptive noun,And it is said regarding the first: Mulk,And it is said regarding the second: Mulk,Meaning: al-Mulk belongs to the Malik, and al-Milk belongs to the Malik,So you say, for example: This hour is the property of so-and-so, and you say regarding a kingdom under a king,She says: This is the kingdom of so-and-so, the Malik and the Malik are two of the seven canonical readings, both valid. It is permissible for a person to recite with both; he recites with this one at one time and with that one at another time, in prayer and outside of prayer. However, it is not recommended that we recite with a reading that differs from the mushaf in front of the common people; because that causes fitnah (trial, discord or temptation). Indeed, that may diminish the awe of the Qur'an in the mind of the common person, or the common person may reject it in his heart or with his tongue against this one who recited with a reading he does not know. For this reason, it is recommended for students of knowledge not to recite with a reading that differs from the mushaf that is in the hands of the people; for what we have mentioned, which is that it may be a cause for the common people to belittle the Qur'an, or a cause for them to criticize this reciter and say that he is unable to recite.

The important point: (Master of the Day of Judgment) meaning: that Allah Mighty and Majestic is the One who disposes of that day, no one disposes of that day ever. If He were able to dispose of it, He would have created for him a shade from the heat of the sun,But the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: (Seven whom Allah will shade in His shade on a day when there is no shade except His) So it is He, Mighty and Majestic, who creates a shade at that time for whoever deserves it, like the seven whom Allah will shade in His shade,And it came in the hadith: (Every person will be in the shade of his charity on the Day of Resurrection) .
Likewise, He is the King of the Day of Judgment, no one has sovereignty with Him,As Allah the Exalted said:
To whom belongs [all] sovereignty this Day?لِمَنِ الْمُلْكُ الْيَوْمَ
[Surah Ghafir: 16] He answers Himself:
Allah, the One, the Prevailing?لِلَّهِ الْوَاحِدِ الْقَهَّارِ
[Surah Ghafir: 16] meaning: The kings of this world, however great their sovereignty, however wide and strong their authority, it vanishes from the moment the ruler dies, whether he is called a sultan, a king, or a president. That authority ceases as soon as he dies. And whatever is done after him, such as honoring his grave or planting flowers on it or the like, he benefits from it not at all. Why? Because he died and his sovereignty ceased. On the Day of Resurrection also, there is no sovereignty except for Allah alone, Exalted and Majestic is He,Therefore he said: (King) or (Master of the Day of Judgment) .

If someone were to say: What is the meaning of: (Day of Judgment) ?We said: (Day of Judgment) meaning: the Day of Resurrection;Because it is the day in which the servants are judged, meaning: they are recompensed for their deeds, and "dayn" (judgment) means recompense as in this verse,And it means deed as in the saying of Allah the Exalted:
For you is your religion, and for me is my religion."لَكُمْ دِينُكُمْ وَلِيَ دِينِ
[Surah Al-Kafirun: 6] .
So these are three verses, all for Allah Mighty and Majestic.
