Ruling on Selling a Television

A person who was an open sinner at the beginning of his life bought a television intending to watch forbidden things on it. Then Allah opened his heart to him and he repented. He wanted to get rid of the television, and one of the da'wah offices offered to buy the device from him. Is it permissible for him to sell it to them, or is it obligatory for him to give it away without receiving money?
It is permissible for him to sell it.Meaning: It is permissible for a person, once he has repented, to sell the television to someone who will not use it for what is forbidden, provided that its price is lawful for him.
