Is it permissible to sell a television or act as an agent in its sale, and is its value forbidden, and does one sin by selling it or not?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : A questioner says: A man gave me a television and put me in an awkward position by asking me to sell it to him, and it is with me now, and I do not know what to do. Should I sell it? And if I sell it, will I be sinful, and is its value forbidden?

The Shaykh : If you sell the television—and I am addressing the questioner—if he sells it to someone who uses it in a permissible manner, such as selling it to some of those who show films that benefit people, then there is nothing wrong with that. But if he sells it to the general public, he will sin in doing so, because most people use televisions for forbidden things. There is no doubt that what is watched on television includes some permissible things, some beneficial things, and some harmful things, and most people do not distinguish between these. Yes.
