The ruling on defending a Muslim if someone intends to kill him

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Honorable Shaykh! If a person attacks one of the Muslims and I cannot repel him except by using a weapon, is this permissible for me, or is it not permissible?
If the one who intends to attack the Muslim intends to kill him, it is obligatory for you to defend yourself, even if it leads to his death, because it is obligatory to save a life. As for if it is less than that, it is not permissible for you to kill him.

The questioner himself: Without killing, O Shaykh.

The Shaykh: How?The questioner himself: Repel him, for example, or point at him.

The Shaykh: There is no objection,If you defend yourself with something that does not kill him, meaning: and if he cannot be repelled except by that, then repel him; because it is obligatory for the Muslim to support his brother,The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: (Support your brother, whether he is wrong or right) .
