The Shaykh: We have spoken from this place several times about these satellite dishes, and we have made it clear that it is not permissible for a person to possess them because of the great harms in them that demolish the creed and morals, and also the corruption,Meaning: they demolish and corrupt as well, and strange things and odd stories have reached us about this, and those who watch these abominations take them as if they were stories for the night, for this reason we warn against possessing them,And we say to whoever possesses it: upon you is the sin of it and the sin of whoever uses it; because this calamity connects to the neighbors as well, the neighbors can take from it, so it is a trial, and what does this poor man who placed it in his house know, does he know, or does he have a covenant from Allah that he will remain forever?!! [Maryam:78] He does not know, perhaps he will die on his day before the setting of his sun, or in his night before the breaking of his dawn, and then these sins remain recorded upon him in his deeds while he is in his grave, and I seek refuge in Allah, for this reason we warn of it with the utmost caution, and we see that its presence in houses is forbidden, and that a person must fear Allah, the Exalted, in himself first, and in his family second, and in his neighbors third, and in his community fourth;Because if the community sees someone place it, he says: So there is no harm in it.
Then evil drags some of it along with some, and the people of evil hold fast to one another, and strengthen one another,For this reason Allah, the Exalted, said regarding the punishment of the people of the Fire: [Al-Zukhruf:39] .
So the important thing is that I – as advice for Allah, Mighty and Majestic, and to clear the conscience – warn our Muslim brothers from these satellite dishes, or dishes, or receivers that are placed in their houses,And I say: Fear Allah in yourselves, and your families, and your neighbors, and in your community [Fatir:5] .

And never will it benefit you that Day, when you have wronged, that you are [all] sharing in the punishment.
وَلَنْ يَنْفَعَكُمُ الْيَوْمَ إِذْ ظَلَمْتُمْ أَنَّكُمْ فِي الْعَذَابِ مُشْتَرِكُونَSo the important thing is that I – as advice for Allah, Mighty and Majestic, and to clear the conscience – warn our Muslim brothers from these satellite dishes, or dishes, or receivers that are placed in their houses,And I say: Fear Allah in yourselves, and your families, and your neighbors, and in your community
