Exegesis of the saying of Allah the Exalted: (And what will make you know what is that? It is a blazing Fire)]
Allah the Exalted said: [Al-Qari'ah: 10] This is a matter of magnifying and emphasizing this abyss, and may Allah protect us from it,He asks: What is it? Do you know what it is? It is something great. It is [Al-Qari'ah: 11] , at the extreme of heat. And the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: (It is superior to the fire of this world by sixty-nine parts) If you consider all the fires of this world, whether fire from wood, or paper, or (butane gas) or something more intense than that, the Fire of Hell is superior to them by sixty-nine parts. We ask Allah for safety.
In this verse: The warning and caution regarding this Day,And that people do not escape two states: Either a man whose good deeds outweigh his bad deeds, or a man whose bad deeds outweigh his good deeds. And in it is also evidence that on the Day of Resurrection there are scales,And it has come in some texts: That it is a scale. Is it one or multiple?Some of the scholars of knowledge said: It is one, and it is pluralized with respect to what is weighed; because in it good deeds and bad deeds are weighed, and the good deeds of so-and-so and so-and-so are weighed, and the good deeds of this community and that other community are weighed. So it is pluralized with respect to what is weighed, not with respect to the scale; otherwise, the scale is one.
And some of the scholars of knowledge said: That they are multiple scales, with a scale for every community and a scale for every deed, so for this reason they were pluralized.
And the most apparent, and Allah knows best: That it is one scale, but it is pluralized with respect to what is weighed, according to wealth, or according to communities, or according to individuals.
And in this verse: Evidence that if a person’s good deeds and bad deeds are equal, he has been left silent about in this verse, but Allah the Exalted clarified in Surat al-A'raf that they do not enter the Fire, but rather they are confined in a place called (al-A'raf) And Allah the Exalted mentioned in Surat al-A'raf what passes between them and the believers, and that they are [Al-A'raf: 47] .
We ask Allah the Exalted to make us and you among those whose good deeds outweigh their bad deeds, and to forgive us and you, and to treat us with His pardon. Indeed, He is capable of all things.
Allah the Exalted said:
