Exegesis of the saying of Allah the Exalted: (He thinks that his wealth will make him immortal)]

Allah the Exalted said:
He thinks that his wealth will make him immortal.يَحْسَبُ أَنَّ مَالَهُ أَخْلَدَهُ
[Al-Humazah: 3] Meaning: This man thinks that his wealth will make him immortal and preserve him, either in his body or in his remembrance. For a person's life is not what remains in this world, but a person's true life is what makes him immortal after his death, and his remembrance is in the hearts of people and on their tongues. So in this verse he says:
He thinks that his wealth will make him immortal.يَحْسَبُ أَنَّ مَالَهُ أَخْلَدَهُ
[Al-Humazah: 3] Meaning: Did his remembrance become immortal, or did he lengthen his life? And the matter is not so. For if the people of wealth are not known for giving and generosity, they will be immortalized, but with a bad remembrance. It is said: It is said: "So miserly as so-and-so," and he is mentioned in gatherings and criticized.
