The Meaning of the Saying of Allah the Exalted: "He thinks that his wealth will make him immortal. No!"

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : Allah the Exalted said:
He thinks that his wealth will make him immortal. يحسب أن ماله أخلده
[Al-Humazah 104:3]

The answer is: No. And for this reason He said:
No! كلا
Wealth will not make him immortal. How many people have left this world with great wealth, and they were the most attached to it and the most loving of it, yet it did not benefit them.
But wealth, O my brothers, righteous wealth in the hands of a righteous man is indeed a great helper. If a person acquires wealth from lawful sources and spends it in what pleases Allah (Mighty and Majestic), then he is to be envied for that. The man to whom Allah has granted knowledge and who teaches people is to be envied, and the man to whom Allah has granted wealth and who spends it in what pleases Allah is also to be envied. Therefore, we do not blame a person if his wealth is abundant. Among the Companions, there were those whose wealth was abundant, such as Uthman ibn Affan and Abd al-Rahman ibn Awf, who had great wealth. But we say: make this wealth your path to the Hereafter. Acquire it from lawful sources and spend it in what pleases Allah (Mighty and Majestic), so that it may be good for you in this world and in the Hereafter.
Who collects wealth الذي جمع مالا
[Al-Humazah 104:2]
He thinks that his wealth will make him immortal. يحسب أن ماله أخلده
[Al-Humazah 104:3]
