What the reciter must do when he loses his breath
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
I prayed behind one of the imams, and he recited the words of Allah the Exalted: [Al-An'am: 102] Then he paused and resumed: [Al-An'am: 102] So something of this became a concern in my mind,So I said to him: that the word (He) belongs to the phrase before it;Because it is an affirmation of the negation, because he said: , and it does not belong to the phrase after it,So he insisted on his statement and said: this is a reading by one of the famous reciters, so what is the definitive ruling on that?
The definitive ruling: that the readings do not come about merely because a person defends himself, even if with falsehood, so no one can add anything to the Qur'an,And according to his statement, the verse would be: (That is your Lord, there is no deity except Him) (He is the Creator of all things) so (He) would be repeated twice, and this is a great error, but it appears to me that this man is ignorant, and that the reciter who heard him, when he reached the words of Allah the Exalted: lost his breath,Then he repeated and said: [Al-An'am: 102] and this is an error, even if one loses his breath, what a person should do when he loses his breath is to start from where he stopped, as for what some people do now, when they lose their breath they go back to read the last sentence and then continue,It is said: the last sentence may be connected to what came before it, so you read what came before it, then what came before that is connected to what came before it, and at that point he is required to repeat the verse from the beginning.
For this reason we see: that when a person loses his breath, he has lost his breath out of necessity, so he starts from where he lost it, and there is no need to repeat the sentence before it.
So the important thing is: that the verse does not have (He) twice, but it is once, and (He) which occurred after (except) as I said is an affirmation that Allah the Exalted is the sole Creator.
That is your Lord, there is no deity except Him
ذَلِكُمُ اللَّهُ رَبُّكُمْ لا إِلَهَ إِلَّا هُوَthe Creator of all things, so worship Him
هُوَ خَالِقُ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ فَاعْبُدُوهُThere is no deity except Him
لا إِلَهَ إِلَّا هُوَThe definitive ruling: that the readings do not come about merely because a person defends himself, even if with falsehood, so no one can add anything to the Qur'an,And according to his statement, the verse would be: (That is your Lord, there is no deity except Him) (He is the Creator of all things) so (He) would be repeated twice, and this is a great error, but it appears to me that this man is ignorant, and that the reciter who heard him, when he reached the words of Allah the Exalted:
