The Ruling on Clapping and Photography

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
In some schools, clapping is frequent without need, and so is photography. What is the ruling on that? And is it incumbent upon me to disapprove, or not?
As for clapping for a reason, I see no harm in it, because this has become the custom, and it encourages the one who achieved the matter for which they clapped. It is not a case of imitating the disbelievers, because it has now become widespread and common among Muslims. And it is not included in His saying, the Exalted:
And their prayer at the House was not except whistling and handclappingوَمَا كَانَ صَلاتُهُمْ عِنْدَ الْبَيْتِ إِلَّا مُكَاءً وَتَصْدِيَةً
[Al-Anfal: 35] Because these people make their worship nothing but whistling and clapping. And for this he said:
their prayer at the House was not except whistling and handclappingصَلاتُهُمْ عِنْدَ الْبَيْتِ إِلَّا مُكَاءً وَتَصْدِيَةً
[Al-Anfal: 35] , And it does not fall under the saying of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him): (If something happens to you in your prayer, let the men say Subhan Allah and let the women clap) Because this is in prayer, and because a woman’s voice may lead to fitnah (trial, discord or temptation), so she was commanded to clap and not say Subhan Allah if the imam makes a mistake, and the men were commanded to say Subhan Allah.
But if it is assumed that a person does this and claps, and it angers some of the brothers present, it is better not to do it; because unity is a required matter, and clapping is at most permissible. And if leaving it leads to affection and love, there is no doubt that leaving it is required. As for whistling, I dislike it. What is the meaning of a person raising his voice with whistling? And photography also, there is no need for it. And if he photographs, he will store it and keep it, and keeping pictures without need is forbidden.
As for if it is required by the ministry, that is another matter.
And all praise is due to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad and his family and all his Companions.
