Exegesis of His saying, the Exalted: (For indeed, with hardship there is ease)
Allah the Exalted said: [Al-Sharh: 5-6] This is a glad tidings from Allah (Mighty and Majestic) for the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) and for the rest of the Ummah,And we ask the brother: Did hardship befall the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him)? When he was in Makkah, it was made difficult for him in Makkah and al-Ta'if, and likewise in al-Madinah from the hypocrites. So Allah says: [Al-Sharh: 5] meaning: Just as We expanded for you your chest, and removed from you your burden, and raised for you your mention, and these are great blessings, so this hardship that befalls you must have an ease.
[Al-Sharh: 5-6] Ibn Abbas said regarding this verse: [A single hardship will not overcome two eases] So how is his statement (may Allah be pleased with him) reconciled, given that the hardship is mentioned twice and the ease is mentioned twice? The people of rhetoric said: The reconciliation of his statement is that the hardship is not mentioned except once. (For indeed, with hardship there is ease) (Indeed, with hardship there is ease) The first hardship is repeated in the second with the definite article (al), so the article here is for the previously mentioned thing. As for the ease, it did not come as definite, but rather as indefinite,And the rule: that when a name is repeated twice in the indefinite form, the second is other than the first, except in rare cases. And the opposite: if a name is repeated twice and it is definite, the second is the same as the first, except for what is specified,Meaning: Pay attention to this rule,The rule now is: If a name is repeated twice in the definite form, the second is the same as the first, except in rare cases. And if a name is repeated twice in the indefinite form, the second is other than the first, because the second is indefinite, so it is other than the first.
Therefore: In the two noble verses, there are two eases and one hardship; because the hardship was repeated twice in the definite form.
(For indeed, with hardship there is ease) This statement is a report from Allah (Mighty and Majestic), and His report is the most truthful of reports, and His promise is not broken. So whenever a matter becomes difficult for you—my brother—wait for the easing.
As for religious matters, it is apparent. (Pray standing, and if you cannot, then sitting, and if you cannot, then on your side) This is easing. If standing is difficult for you, sit down. And if sitting is difficult for you, pray while on your side.
In fasting, if you are able and you are resident, fast. And if you are not able, break the fast. If you are traveling, break the fast.
In Hajj, if you are able to find a way to it, perform Hajj. And if you are not able, there is no Hajj upon you.
Rather, if you begin Hajj and a circumstance occurs that prevents you from completing the Hajj, exit the state of ihram, annul the Hajj and offer a sacrifice, because of the saying of Allah the Exalted: [Al-Baqarah: 196] .
Therefore: Every hardship that befalls a person in worship finds facilitation and ease,And likewise in divine decree and destiny, meaning: Allah's decree upon a person, in terms of calamities, narrowness of livelihood, narrowness of chest, and others, does not lead to despair [Al-Sharh: 5] The easing may be an apparent, tangible matter, such as: a person is poor and matters become difficult for him, so Allah expands wealth for him. This is tangible easing. A sick person is tired and the illness becomes difficult for him, so Allah (Mighty and Majestic) heals him. This is also tangible easing. There is spiritual easing, which is Allah's assistance to the person in patience. This is easing. If Allah assists you in patience, the hardship becomes easy for you. This difficult matter, which if it fell upon the mountains would crush them, becomes an easy matter due to the patience with which Allah assisted you,Meaning: Do not think that the ease means that something will be resolved all at once. No, the ease is that the distress is resolved and removed, and this is tangible easing. And that Allah assists the person in patience, so that this severe, difficult matter becomes easy for him,We say this: Because we are confident in the promise of Allah [Al-Sharh: 5-6] .
Allah the Exalted said:
(5) For indeed, with hardship [will be] ease. (6) Indeed, with hardship [will be] ease.
فَإِنَّ مَعَ الْعُسْرِ يُسْراً * إِنَّ مَعَ الْعُسْرِ يُسْراًFor indeed, with hardship [will be] ease.
فَإِنَّ مَعَ الْعُسْرِ يُسْراً(5) For indeed, with hardship [will be] ease. (6) Indeed, with hardship [will be] ease.
فَإِنَّ مَعَ الْعُسْرِ يُسْراً * إِنَّ مَعَ الْعُسْرِ يُسْراًTherefore: In the two noble verses, there are two eases and one hardship; because the hardship was repeated twice in the definite form.

And complete the Hajj and 'umrah for Allah. But if you are prevented, then [offer] what can be obtained with ease of sacrificial animals
وَأَتِمُّوا الْحَجَّ وَالْعُمْرَةَ لِلَّهِ فَإِنْ أُحْصِرْتُمْ فَمَا اسْتَيْسَرَ مِنَ الْهَدْيِTherefore: Every hardship that befalls a person in worship finds facilitation and ease,And likewise in divine decree and destiny, meaning: Allah's decree upon a person, in terms of calamities, narrowness of livelihood, narrowness of chest, and others, does not lead to despair
