Exegesis of the saying of Allah the Exalted: (And to Allah belongs what is in the heavens and what is on the earth)]

Allah the Exalted said:
To Allah belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earthوَلِلَّهِ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ
[Surat al-Najm: 31] This verse indicates two matters: The first matter: The comprehensiveness of the ownership of Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) over what is in the heavens and the earth,And this comprehensiveness is taken from His saying: (what is in the heavens) because (what) is for comprehensiveness.

The second matter: The exclusivity of the ownership of the heavens and the earth to Allah (Mighty and Majestic),And this is taken from the fronting of the predicate: (And to Allah belongs what is in the heavens) and the scholars say: That placing what is due to be delayed indicates comprehensiveness, and this is a linguistic rhetorical rule,And it has many examples: among which is this verse,Among them is the saying of Allah the Exalted:
It is You we worship and You we ask for help.إِيَّاكَ نَعْبُدُ وَإِيَّاكَ نَسْتَعِينُ
[Surat al-Fatihah: 5] (You alone) this is a fronted object with two clauses: to worship and to seek help, and the right of the object is to be placed last, but it was placed first for the sake of exclusivity, and we give an example of this from what happens among us,So if you say to a person: You alone I intended,It is not like saying: I intended you;Because You alone I intended means: and I did not intend anyone other than you, but I intended you may mean I intended him and intended others as well.

The important thing is that you understand this rule: Placing what is due to be delayed indicates restriction,Meaning: the exclusivity of this thing to this thing.

Therefore: Does anyone own what is in the heavens and the earth? No, except Allah (Mighty and Majestic) is the One who owns what is in the heavens and the earth, and when He (Glorified and Exalted is He) mentioned the comprehensiveness of Lordship, He mentioned what follows from this comprehensiveness in His saying: ((So that He may reward those who did evil for what they did, and reward those who did well with the best)) [Surat al-Najm: 31] So the implication of this ownership is that He commands and forbids, then rewards those who did well with the best, and those who did evil for what they did,What is the meaning of: The best? The best: That a good deed is rewarded with ten times its like up to seven hundred times up to many multiples.

They did evil for what they did means: An evil deed is rewarded with only its like and no more,Allah, Blessed and Exalted, said:
And the recompense for an evil is an evil like itوَجَزَاءُ سَيِّئَةٍ سَيِّئَةٌ مِثْلُهَا
[Surat al-Shura: 40] and this is in the dealings of creation,And as for the Creator, He said (Mighty and Majestic):
Whoever comes [on the Day of Judgement] with a good deed will have ten times the like thereof [to his credit], and whoever comes with an evil deed will not be recompensed except the like thereof; and they will not be wronged.
[Surat al-An'am: 160] .
