Exegesis of the saying of Allah the Exalted: (Has there come to you the report of the Overwhelming?)]

Allah the Exalted says:
Has there come to you the news of the Overwhelming?
[Al-Ghashiyah: 1] The address is either to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) or to everyone to whom it is appropriate to address, and this occurs frequently in the Qur'an; Allah directs the address, and it is for the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) or for everyone to whom it is possible and appropriate to address, except that sometimes it is specified to be for the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) alone,Such as the saying of Allah the Exalted:
Did We not expand for you, [O Muhammad], your breast?
[Al-Sharh: 1] so this cannot be for anyone but the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him),And as He said:
O Messenger, announce that which has been revealed to you from your Lord
[Al-Ma'idah: 67] this cannot be for anyone but the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him).
And sometimes the generality is more likely,Such as the saying of Allah the Exalted:
O Prophet, when you [Muslims] divorce women
[Al-Talaq: 1] so the beginning of the address is to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him),And its end is:
when you divorce womenإِذَا طَلَّقْتُمُ النِّسَاءَ
[Al-Talaq: 1] so it is general.

His saying:
Has there come to you the news of the Overwhelming?
It is permissible that the address is directed to the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) alone and his Ummah follows him, and it is permissible that it is general for everyone to whom it is possible to address, and the interrogation here is for suspense,so it is like His saying, the Exalted:
O you who have believed, shall I guide you to a transaction that will save you from a painful punishment?
[Al-Saff: 10] and it is permissible that it is for magnification; due to the greatness of this report about the Overwhelming.
The Hadith of al-Ghashiyah
[Meaning: its news,And Al-Ghashiyah: it is the great calamity that covers people, and what is intended here is the Day of Resurrection about which Allah spoke frequently in the Noble Qur'an, describing it with great descriptions,Such as the saying of Allah the Exalted:
(1) O mankind, fear your Lord. Indeed, the convulsion of the [final] Hour is a terrible thing. (2) On the Day you see it every nursing mother will be distracted from that [child] she was nursing, and every pregnant woman will abort her pregnancy, and you will see the people [appearing] intoxicated while they are not intoxicated; but the punishment of Allah is severe.
[Al-Hajj: 1-2] .
