[Explanation of the Hadith: (The poor will enter Paradise before the rich)]

His Eminence the Shaykh: Al-Tirmidhi narrated from Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: (The poor of Paradise will enter before the rich by five hundred years.
) The question is about the reasons why the rich enter Paradise after the poor by five hundred years, while we find, praise be to Allah, that the awakening among the rich is clear; they devote their wealth for the sake of the religion. What is your guidance regarding this hadith?
The apparent meaning of the hadith is that the poor enter Paradise before the rich by five hundred years, or by another period that differs from five hundred years. However, this is if the believing rich person and the poor person are equal in status. If so, Allah compensates this poor person, who did not enjoy in this world what the rich person enjoyed, by advancing him over the rich person in entering Paradise. But if the rich person has good deeds that exceed those of the poor person, the apparent view—Allah knows best—is that the rich person precedes the poor person according to his precedence in good deeds. And this hadith is restricted to the case where the rich and the poor are equal.Or is it said: Indeed, these [the poor] precede the rich in entering, but when the rich enter Paradise, they will be in the stations they deserve, and they will be above the poor if they deserve a station above the poor, and Paradise has levels
And for all are degrees from what they have doneوَلِكُلٍّ دَرَجَاتٌ مِمَّا عَمِلُوا
