Exegesis of the saying of Allah the Exalted: (Indeed, your Lord is the Watcher)]
Allah the Exalted said:[Al-Fajr 89:14] The address here is to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) or to everyone to whom the address is directed. Allah (Mighty and Majestic) makes it clear that He is the Watcher over everyone who transgresses, encroaches, and is arrogant, and that He will punish him and hold him accountable. This meaning has parallels in the Noble Qur'an,Among them is the saying of Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He): "Have they not traveled through the land and observed what was the end of those before them? Allah destroyed them, and for the disbelievers are the like of them" [Muhammad: 10] and as Shu'ayb said to his people: "Lest you be struck with the like of what struck the people of Noah or the people of Hud or the people of Salih, and the people of Lut are not far from you" [Hud: 89]. The Sunnah of Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) is one regarding those who deny His messengers and are arrogant about worshipping Him; He is the Watcher over them. This verse conveys a threat and warning to whoever is arrogant about worshipping Allah or denies His news.
