Allah the Exalted said:

While Allah encompasses them from behind.

وَاللَّهُ مِنْ وَرَائِهِمْ مُحِيطٌ

[al-Buruj:20] That is: Allah the Exalted encompasses them from every side; they do not escape from Him, nor from His knowledge, nor His power, nor His punishment; but He (Mighty and Majestic) may grant respite to the wrongdoer until, when He seizes him, He does not let him go.
