The Lawfulness of Making Up the Six Days of Shawwal

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
If making up the fasts of Ramadan takes up the entire month of Shawwal, is it prescribed to follow them with six days from Dhul-Qa'dah?
If we assume that a person had to fast the entire month of Ramadan, whether due to travel, illness, or post-natal bleeding, and he fasted the month of Shawwal, and all of Shawwal was spent making up the fasts, then he should fast the six days in Dhul-Qa'dah. This is because if Ramadan, which is an obligatory duty, is made up after its time has passed, then the voluntary fast is the same. Also, because fasting the six days of Shawwal is attached to Ramadan. However, if he was negligent in making up the fasts, and days passed during which he was able to make them up but did not, and he only made up the Ramadan fasts at the end of Shawwal, and then he wanted to follow them with six days of Shawwal, this does not suffice him. This is because he performed the act of worship outside of its time without an excuse.
