If he commits a minor sin but repeats it and persists in it, he becomes an open sinner. We benefit from this noble verse: The prohibition of mockery, the prohibition of teasing others, the prohibition of addressing one another by offensive nicknames, and that whoever does so is an open sinner after having been a believer.
