Exegesis of the saying of the Exalted: "How evil is the name of open sinfulness after faith."

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : Then He, Mighty and Majestic, said:
Wretched is the name of disobedience after [one's] faith بئس الاسم الفسوق بعد الإيمان
[Al-Hujurat 49:11]
There are great etiquettes in this surah, and therefore every person should read it, know the words of the exegetes regarding it, and reflect upon it, for by Allah, it contains the high and great etiquettes regarding Allah and regarding the servants. The surah began with His saying:
O you who have believed, do not put [yourselves] before Allah and His Messenger يا أيها الذين آمنوا لا تقدموا بين يدي الله ورسوله
[Al-Hujurat 49:1]
Then Allah, the Exalted, listed the high etiquettes and morals in it until He said at the end of the surah:
(17) They consider it a favor to you that they have accepted Islam. Say, "Do not consider your Islam a favor to me. Rather, Allah has conferred favor upon you that He has guided you to the faith, if you should be truthful." (18) Indeed, Allah knows the unseen [aspects] of the heavens and the earth. And Allah is Seeing of what you do. يمنون عليك أن أسلموا قل لا تمنوا علي إسلامكم بل الله يمن عليكم أن هداكم للإيمان إن كنتم صادقين * إن الله يعلم غيب السموات والأرض والله بصير بما تعملون
[Al-Hujurat 49:17-18]
