The invalidity of the Mawlid from the legal perspective

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
As for the legal perspective: It is said: Those who hold this celebration are either motivated by their love for the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family).
Or they are motivated by imitating the Christians in their celebration of the birth of 'Isa ibn Maryam (peace be upon him).
Or it is a custom they have become accustomed to.

As for the first possibility: That is, their motivation for it is their love for the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family). So we say: Loving the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) is an individual obligation for every believer. Indeed, it is obligatory for every believer to prioritize his love for the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) over his love for any human being; and to prioritize his love over his love for himself, his child, his father, and all of mankind. Faith is not complete except by this.

But the measure of true love is: This is proper conduct toward the Messenger (peace be upon him), and not to precede him, and not to legislate in his religion what he has not legislated.
Because if we were to precede him, we would be rude in our conduct. And rudeness in conduct means: This is a lack of regard for the one who is before the person.
And if we were to legislate in his religion what he has not legislated, this would be a defect in his conveying the message to the Ummah (peace be upon him).
