The Ruling on Sniffing Water into the Nose and Rinsing the Mouth in the Full Ritual Bath

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
A man performed the full ritual bath to remove major ritual impurity, but he did not rinse his mouth or sniff water into his nose. Is that valid for him?
This does not make the full ritual bath valid. Rinsing the mouth and sniffing water into the nose are obligatory in both the ablution and the full ritual bath, and they are required. As for the ablution, it is not obligatory in the full ritual bath.Meaning: If a person rinses his mouth, sniffs water into his nose, and immerses himself in a pool intending to remove major ritual impurity, there is no blame on him. He may pray, and there is no harm; because Allah has established a specific purification for the one in a state of major ritual impurity. What was said:
And if you are in a state of janabah, then purify yourselvesوَإِنْ كُنْتُمْ جُنُباً فَاطَّهَّرُوا
[Surah al-Ma'idah: 6] and it did not mention the ablution. This indicates that the obligation of the one in a state of major ritual impurity is to purify himself, even if he does not arrange the acts, and even if he does not perform the ablution.

The questioner: And sniffing water into the nose? The Shaykh: Rinsing the mouth and sniffing water into the nose are required in both the full ritual bath and the ablution.
