Is cupping for men and women, and what is its benefit?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Is cupping for men and women, and what is the benefit of it?

The Shaykh: What is it?

The questioner : Cupping, cupping.

The Shaykh : Cupping, cupping, naturally it is not limited to men.

The questioner : Well, what is the benefit of it, I mean...

The Shaykh : The benefit is known by those who have suffered from it and those who have practiced it. This is, in fact, a specialized science known by those who have experience and care for it. Today, unfortunately, it has been abandoned in most of the lands of Islam because European medicine has prevailed over Prophetic medicine. Many, and very many, hadiths have come encouraging cupping, but there is no cupper who knows the method of cupping. The most eloquent of these hadiths is his saying (peace be upon him):
I did not pass by any group of angels ما مَرَرْتُ ليلة أُسرِيَ بي بملأٍ من الملائكة إلا قال لي : مُرْ أمَّتَك بالحجامة
Sunan Ibn Majah 3477Da’if (Darussalam)
.

The questioner: Allah is the Greatest!

The Shaykh :
I did not pass by a group of angels on the night I was taken up in ascension except that this group said to him: "Order your ummah to practice cupping." ما مَرَرْتُ ليلة أسري بي بملأٍ من الملائكة إلا قال له هذا الملأ : مُرْ أمَّتَك بالحجامة
, and the truth, the truth is that cupping, until recently, had a thriving and profitable market in some Islamic countries. I am among those who underwent cupping and saw its effect on their bodies. Perhaps there is still a mark of cupping here, I do not know, by Allah. The important thing is that I had dizziness. I was young... the time of youth is gone. I was sitting and stood up, and I nearly fell to the ground from dizziness. So I underwent cupping, and it went to the point of no return. The benefit is generally known from the hadiths of the Messenger, and especially this hadith. But experience is what reveals it, because sometimes cupping is done between the shoulders, and so on. The Messenger (peace be upon him) underwent cupping between the shoulders. He underwent cupping.

The questioner : In a specific place.

The Shaykh : No, every disease has its place.

The questioner: Yes.

The Shaykh : The Messenger underwent cupping between the shoulders and on the back of the foot. Do you see? Yes.

The questioner : Because once I did not hear...

The Shaykh : In any case, we mention what we know.

The questioner : On the ailment, O Shaykh, or...

The Shaykh : No, on the disease. Yes, on the disease. Come on.
